Sell Off Vacations- A Total Mess

( 1-877-SellOff (735-5633)

Sell Off Vacations is the other name of total failure. This travel service provider doesn’t have any experience in this field; as a result, they cause countless trouble for their clients. People interested to take package on their upcoming tour shouldn’t consider Sell Off Vacations. Even though, on their website selloffvacations.com they might find several attractive deals. Personally I would recommend that read some reviews on the internet. As far as my concern it is possible to get help from some reliable sites which publish business review. All you have to do is writing the company name and then the word reviews.

However, the purpose of this post is to give you a warning about Sell Off Vacations. They have already scammed many clients interested to have a safer, trouble free trip. If people don’t be aware of this company, definitely the numbers of scam will increase. All it takes a little bit consciousness to remain safe. Complaints are nothing new against Sell Off Vacations, but recently they are accused of being cheating their client. For which the client had to go back to Canada without completing his holiday trip to the Cayman Islands. Here is the complaint, described in his own word.

My name is Shane Harwood, by born Australian, currently living in Toronto with my Canadian wife. After our marriage, I didn’t able to take her to any trip for my jam packed schedule in the office. Anyway, last year I finally managed that desired vacation for both of us. I thought it would be a fantastic gift as well, since it was the time of our third marriage anniversary. I didn’t want to spend much time by dealing with everything, rather I preferred to give the duty to a travel agency making sure I can enjoy every moment of the holiday. I hadn’t the patient to verify a company’s reliability since I was excited. I did some random search and the name Sell Off Vacations appeared on SERP. Furthermore, I got impressed to see the packages available there that were more than I thought of! Flight, hotel, vehicle etc. gathered in one place.

A whole package that’s what I was looking for. Instantly, I confirmed my booking to the Cayman Islands. Sell Off Vacations mailed me the copy of invoice by that day. Other documents such as e-tickets were supposed to send right after they get confirmed.

I and my wife, Celine, started packing and planning as the time was approaching to our due date of flight. But still there was no response from Sell Off Vacations side, so I called them and told my reference name, invoice number. I waited for about half hour, but there was no response from the other side. At last, they told me to call them back tomorrow to get an update on this. This was really awful. However, the next day I called them and they told me that there was no booking made by me. I tried visiting the booking page on http://www.selloffvacations.com; an error occurred.

Then I visited the local office of Sell Off Vacations, there I met an agent and informed him everything in details. I was surprised to notice that he has no consciousness about the phone call I made the other day! Sell Off Vacations is that reckless. Anyhow after describing everything once again, he made me waiting for another hour. After checking everything, he found nothing about my booking. The next thing he told me was far away from my imagination; I have to keep a security deposit as same as the initial amount that I already paid, meanwhile they will verify my complaint. Right at that moment, I had nothing to do except agreeing with him, because I didn’t want to see such a desired trip get wasted. They promised me to rearrange everything ASAP, but first of all I have to repay.

  1. When it comes to customer service, Sell Off Vacations is the nastiest. I make about two to three trips each year. Reserving through them was the principal travel mistake I have ever made. The agent misrepresented the service that I was arranging plus the customer service would not perform a thing to help. Truly nothing is done from their side for the consumers when there is an issue. They simply intend to stockpile the money and leave behind you trapped. I've had my lesson and I'm not gonna book with them in the near future. Though I was able to speak to both of the customer service manager and customer service department, no solid assistance was given. The firm is not dependable at all. For the last few years I've been using www.theholidayhotels.com and getting superior results.

  2. Our trip was screwed up from the get go. We wanted a trip through West Jet Vacations so we could collect West Jet bucks. This was screwed up and lost and rebooked through another venue. No West Jet bucks. We had no itinerary and e-tickets a week before our trip and had to personally go into the office and get our paperwork. Did we get an apology? No, I got told not to be upset. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. We will never step foot in the doors again and warn anyone from using this agency.

  3. We booked our trip and received a confirmation number at about 10 pm. We then went ahead and booked additional trips through a low-cost carrier in Europe. The next day we discovered that an email had been sent at 11:31 pm (ie, 31 minutes after closing) saying that there was a problem with the SellOff booking and we had until 11 pm or from 9 am to 11 pm the next day to straighten things out. We were forced to re-book at a higher price. In a written response to our numerous complaints we were told that SellOff, and not the ticketing agent, had cancelled the bookings before the opening of business the next day. Worst of all, the flights were back down to the original price a few days after we overpaid. Note that none of my 6 or so email complaints were ever acknowledged. It was calling over and over again that finally got me access to the complaints people. The final denial-of -everything email was received in response to those telephone calls,

  4. Sell off vacations is something that is offered by some companies at off seasons. What they do is, they have contacts with the concerned individual of hotels, resorts or condos and during off season, they avail the best price for you that are cheaper and fit your pocket.

  5. SellOffVacations has a way of scamming families of 4 (2 adults and 2 youths) by forcing them into a single room while making them pay the cost of 2 rooms.

They just did this to me and TICO the toothless Ontario watchdog has no clue as to what's happening.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS OUTFIT - THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!

  6. I too was scammed by SellOffVacations! They did not respond to my complaint because it was after the fact and the money was already in their pocket! They convinced me to pay extra money to book an earlier flight for a family of 5 and then changed my evening flight home to a morning one without telling me. I paid extra money for nothing. When I called to find out why, the agent had no explanation and told me to send an email to customer service. They never responded! BEWARE OF BOOKING THROUGH THIS AGENCY!

  7. We booked a 2 week January 2015 holiday to Punta Cana under the Boxing Week Blow-Out Event that was supposed to give us a $300 travel voucher for a future travel package. We never received the voucher. I phoned to inquire and I was told by the booking agent I dealt with that she would have to contact customer service. I was given the run around for several months and now the person I was dealing with is not responding to my emails at all. I asked for their customer service supervisor and again no response. This company is not honouring their own Terms and Conditions and I would never book with them again... very frustrating. There are many other travel sites out there and I would only use Sell Off Vacations to "shop around" and then purchase with more reputable service providers. Do yourself a favour and don't use SellOffVacations.com for your holiday booking.

  9. Sell off vacations is a joke. I booked my trip over a week ago,and just found out that they booked me on the wrong resort. Their also saying that there's nothing they can do about it and if we want to change our package we have to repay. Funny thing is when I booked on the file I requested to be in town and get a colonial room, none. Yet I'm at a resort 20minutes away from town by car and there no such thing a colonial rooms at the resort their sending me too.Their a bunch of crooks. They don't care about their customers. Something should be done about this company, they are terrible.

  11. i would like to say I will never book again through sell-off. Four of us booked a trip to cuba adults only paid $300 extra so we could have access to swim up bars and the extras. well are swim up bar was a kids pool. when we were in cuba we even phoned sell-off to let them know cost us $200 in calls and all they said we will see what we can do. As it turned out for a week we had to listen to screaming kids running yah what vacation lol. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE CALLED RIPE-OFF VACATIONS NOT SELL-OFF VACATIONS all I can say is BEWARE never again

  12. They gave me a room with no Internet. They advertised with full Internet access. They gave us a studio instead of a suite. They did not respond to any complaints from day one. This is a very unprofessional company. I would never book with them again.

  13. I booked a vacation for my family for 2018 and Sell off vacation had it posted as a 4* resort. My inlaws just came back from that resort and said it was terrible. Really run down and lots of bugs in the room. When I tried to change the resort, Sell indicated that I will be charged fees. Why should I have to pay extra because their site is not accurate? Never booking with Sell off again! Very unhappy.

  14. I do not agree with any of the negative reviews here. I have been booking my flights and vacation packages for last 5 years with agent Cori and always had 5 stars experience booking with this agency. Note, the hotel star rating is not set by sell of vacations but set by the hotel or rating body. Just be smart when you book. Don't blame it on the 3rd party which has nothing to do with it.

  15. Well, what can I say, should have read the reviews before booking with them I guess!!
    Absolutely no help.
Realized wrong room was booked on the package (not the one I selected) and guess what, nothing can be done after many calls.
Something has to be done against them, it's unbelievable.
